Sleigh Bed
The impressive and beautiful Sleigh Bed, with its curved head and footboards, nicely executed carvings, and string inlaid posts was a technically challenging piece to construct. Built for a residence situated on Cape Cod, the carved shells reflect sea life native to the North Atlantic coast. Head and footboards are veneered in rare Brazilian rosewood. Posts and stretchers are genuine mahogany, and the raised panels are solid cocobolo. It would be difficult to find a nicer sleigh bed.
